List of Emotions with Notes

Here is the list of emotions give by Abraham in Ask and it is Given. This list is also called the emotional scale.

1. Joy/Knowledge/Empowerment/Love/Appreciation

2. Passion

3. Enthusiasm/Eagerness/Happiness

4. Positive Expectation/Belief

5. Optimism

6. Hopefulness

7. Contentment

8. Boardom

9. Pessimism

10. Frustration/Irritation/Impatience

11. Overwhelment

12. Disappointment

13. Doubt

14. Worry

15. Blame

16. Discouragement

17. Anger

18. Revenge

(Notice that in order to move up from hatred and rage and despair we have to go through revenge and anger. The idea here is not to dwell in revenge and anger. One can also take out revenge for something by moving into a bliss filled life and in that way not do any real harm to anyone.)

19. Hatred/Rage

20. Jealousy

21. Insecurity/Guilt/Unworthiness

22. Fear/Grief/Depression/Despair/Powerlessness

Ok, now that we know the various levels Abraham says we have to move from level to level, that we can’t jump all the way from despair to hope, for instance, and skip the levels in between. I have found that to be true. I have also found it to be true that we can be at one level on one subject and at an entirely different level on another subject. For example, you might be in despair with respect to money but if you are a Christian and you think about Jesus you might be in happiness or joy at the same time. But that doesn’t necessarily change your disrepair about money.

Now if you can think about Jesus and stay in the vortex for a while doing that and then gently introduce the subject of money the vortex may spit you out, but if you get back in the vortex and do it all over again each time you may shift your feeling about money slightly till eventually the vortex doesn’t spit you out and may then be hopeful or optimistic about money.

Now, as you move up the emotional scale your point of attraction moves up too. For instance, while you are in disrepair you will be attracting things that give you more despair. The same with anger. But if you are happy you will attract more things that bring you happiness. The same with Joy and Love.

Why Remove One’s Shoes

It is the custom in some cultures to remove ones show when entering a home. A side from picking up a lot of gunk in the street or a white carpet why is this?

In certain cultures the home is viewed as a sacred space.

Why remove one’s shoes in a sacred space?

There are many reasons:

  • Source likes a clean place. When I clean my place, even if it’s only a 6′ x 6′ corner I feel happy inside.
  • Removing one’s shoes puts one in touch with the structure or ground ones is standing on.
  • It reminds us, even unconsciously, that we are not separate from our surroundings. We are connected to it.
  • It helps to ground us, both physically and energetically.
  • If we happen to step on a pebble we are reminded that we aren’t invincible. We are dependent on Source.
  • Removing one’s shoes in a sacred space shows reverence for Deity. For Source, and by extension for us.

These are just a few reasons. We may do it out of custom or courtesy to one’s host. But the most important reason is what it means to us.

Think about it and see if it might have some spiritual significance in your life.
